Yes. Business Class Voice can assign new telephone numbers for your growing business.

Will e911 work?
Yes. Calls to e911 will continue to work by simply dialing 911.  NOTE: Comcast Business Class Voice may have 911 limitations specified below:

  • In order for your 911 calls to be properly directed to emergency services, Comcast must have your correct service address. If you move Comcast Voice service to a different address without notifying Comcast, 911 calls may be directed to the wrong emergency authority, may transmit the wrong address, and/or Comcast Voice service (including 911) may fail altogether.
  • Comcast Voice service uses the electrical power in your building. If there is an electrical power outage, 911 calling may be interrupted if the battery backup in the associated multimedia terminal adapter is not installed, fails, or is exhausted after several hours.
  • Calls, including calls to 911, may or may not be completed if there is a problem with network facilities, including network congestion, network/equipment/power failure, or another technical problem.
  • Prior to changing your office address, or if you have any 911-related questions, please call 1-866-437-1909. Comcast will need several business days to update your service address in the 911 system.

Is Comcast Business Class Voice compatible with answering machines, fax machines, point-of-sale machines, security systems, key systems, and Caller ID display equipment?
Yes. In most standard cases it is compatible.

Do I have to take other Comcast Business Class services in order to get Digital Voice?
No. But to maximize your savings and enjoy great benefits (such as receiving a single bill from a single provider), you will want to subscribe to at least one other Business Class service.

Can I keep my current long distance carrier(s) and take Comcast Business Class Voice for local calling only?
Comcast offers only a combined unlimited local/long-distance calling package to maximize your savings. Selection of other carriers for any type of long distance is not possible.
