- Supporting vulnerable and aging populations
We are proud to be a national local partner with the United Way and a member of its National Corporate Leadership program - the United Way's premier program for corporate supporters. Operating in 41 states, Comcast’s strategic partnership brings tremendous visibility to the United Way's mission, raises necessary dollars to effectively address issues specific to local Comcast communities, and motivates employees to volunteer with local non-profit organizations.
Contributions from the Heart
Comcast is one of the first companies to conduct a company-wide United Way giving campaign simultaneously across the country. In 2005 alone, local United Way agencies received over $3.3 million in Comcast employee contributions and grants funded through The Comcast Foundation. Comcast's contributions have benefited some 68 local United Way chapters by providing more resources to effectively address needs in the communities in which our employees live and work.
Bringing the Message Home
We also provide airtime for public service announcements to bring increased awareness to the United Way’s mission, and to thank Comcast employees for their generosity.
